Houston Pumpkin Festival

September 19 – November 8, 2026

Celebrate fall right in the heart of Downtown Houston! The Houston Pumpkin Festival transforms Discovery Green with pumpkins, seasonal displays, rides, photo opportunities, a carousel, boats on Kinder Lake, a giant slide, pumpkin houses, a Sunflower Walk, and more.

It's a great option for families, date nights, or anyone looking to get into the fall spirit without leaving the city.

Good to Know: Tickets are $18 on weekdays and $28 on weekends, with rides and boats included. Purchasing tickets online in advance is recommended.

Zoo Boo at Houston Zoo

September 25 – October 31, 2026
📍 Houston Zoo | Hermann Park

Zoo Boo is back for an entire month of family-friendly fall fun! Expect colorful pumpkins, seasonal decorations, festive photo opportunities, animal-themed surprises, and special activities throughout the Zoo.

This year also includes select extended-hours nights with glowing pumpkins, a Spooky Forest, Ghost Town, s'mores, and other nighttime experiences.

Good to Know: Zoo Boo activities are included with general Zoo admission and are free for Houston Zoo members.

Dewberry Farm Fall Festival & BOOriffic Nights

September 12 – November 8, 2026

If you're looking for the classic fall-festival experience, Dewberry Farm has plenty to keep you busy.

Explore a Texas-sized pumpkin patch, make your way through an 8-acre corn maze, visit the Pumpkin House, enjoy more than 40 rides and attractions, grab some seasonal treats, and stick around for fireworks.

Looking for something a little spookier? BOOriffic Nights begin September 26 and feature glowing jack-o'-lanterns and three creepy haunts after the sun goes down.

P-6 Farms Fall Fest

October 3 – November 8, 2026

Make a day trip north of Houston for a full fall farm experience at P-6 Farms.

The 2026 Fall Fest includes a real U-pick pumpkin patch, giant corn maze, flower fields, pig races, vintage rides, a roller coaster, giant slides, farm animals, fall-themed photo opportunities, festival food, and more.

Halloween at the BOO!seum

Children's Museum Houston transforms into the BOO!seum for an entire month of kid-friendly Halloween fun.

Families can expect Halloween-themed activities, creepy-crawly fun, interactive experiences, science experiments, games, and plenty of spooky surprises throughout October.

This is a great indoor option for families with younger children—or for those unpredictable Houston fall days when it's still a little too hot outside!

ArBOOretum Fall Family Festival

ArBOOretum is one of the Houston Arboretum's biggest family events of the year and combines Halloween fun with time outdoors. Activities include live animals, pumpkin decorating, and Houston's Trick-or-Treat Nature Trail.

Good to Know: Registration is required, and there will be no onsite parking for the event, so check transportation and shuttle information before heading out.

Old Time Christmas Tree Farm Pumpkin Patch

For a more traditional pumpkin-patch experience, head to Old Time Christmas Tree Farm in Spring.
