What’s going on in the real estate market in 2022?
We’ve seen a surge in the amount of people buying and selling homes in the last couple of years. With 2020 and 2021 proving to be no different, even in the height of a pandemic. Single family home prices have gone up by a 16% and 31% more homes were sold in 2021 than in 2020.
However, with home price forecast predictions all over the place, we don’t expect an increase in home appreciation like we’ve seen in the past anytime soon.
We do know that interest rates will go up slightly and with that comes an increase in the amount of time homes will stay on the market.
